Powerful hairdryer recommendation

I’m looking for a powerful hairdryer to speed up drying time. I have a lot of fine-medium wavy hair that takes forever to dry. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Seen parlux recommended quite a lot but have no idea how to choose between models.

I can recommend this one. I bought it in a rush as had to nip to supermarket to replace one that broke, fully expected to have to replace with a more expensive one, but no, it’s a keeper! This is amazingly quick.

I have this parlux which is on sale just now, very good.

Also have the dyson which is just as good

Chattercino · 20/10/2021 19:54

I've had Parlux, GHD and Dyson and Dyson is the winner!

Hadalifeonce · 20/10/2021 20:04

Dyson

itsutterlyshit · 20/10/2021 20:17

Another vote for parlux.

rk47 · 20/10/2021 20:39

Thank you everyone. I’d love a dyson but can’t justify £300 on it

I have the Parlux one (maybe their top of the range 1?) It is AMAZING

drury7thedition · 20/10/2021 20:46

Parlux here too - not sure if they're still made in Italy but mine is and it is about 10 years old.

HundredMilesAnHour · 20/10/2021 20:50

Parlux or Diva. I have both (Diva at home, Parlux when I travel). Diva is cheaper but just as good. Not a fan of Dyson.

TottiePlantagenet · 20/10/2021 20:55

Just bought myself another Parlux as DD has taken my old one off to university with her. I had this one and have just bought this one because it's slightly lighter for the same price.

verybadhairdoo · 20/10/2021 20:55

Ghd. perfect just perfect

Prettybubblesintheair · 20/10/2021 20:57

I have the Remington hydraluxe pro and I like it but it’s so so heavy! Very fast and powerful though x

Sadiequeenofscots · 20/10/2021 20:58

Parlux Alyon.

I couldn’t bring myself to pay for a Dyson. So I did some research and liked the look of this. It’s very good. I have fine hair, DD has very thick hair. It works for us both. Her hair dries so fast now, it’s great.

Tambourinetunes · 20/10/2021 21:04

GHD here, Powerful without blowing my hair all over the place.

userxx · 20/10/2021 21:08

Another vote for GHD, cuts down drying time.

rk47 · 21/10/2021 08:37

Thank you Smile

Parlux & GHD seem popular, will have a look at those

My other half bought me the Dyson and to be honest, I don't notice it drying my (thick) hair any faster than the cheaper 40 quid hairdryers I've had in the past. Save your money!

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 21/10/2021 09:50

Always had Parlux which were excellent, but now have GHD Helios and it is brilliant.

BrownTableMat · 21/10/2021 10:53

Diva pro ultima. Got it for around £60, dries my long thick hair in less than 5 mins. Still going strong after several years’ hard labour.
