I need the comfiest black leggings....

That's all I want. Thick enough to not become see through and just really comfy so I barely need them. No thick waistbands.

What's your reason for not wanting a wide waistband because if it's something you can compromise on these from Amazon are so so comfy. They are buttery soft, the size S-L fit me at a size 12 and nearly all the way through pregnancy without going see-through, and they wash well. Slim waist band in M&S and they're so comfy. They also do short, regular and long lengths in them all. I wash and tumble mine regularly and they're good as new.

"Blissfully" obvs.... are the amazon ones 'thick' or not too thick - as in, I get really hot (woman of a certain age)

I have a pair from uniqlo that i adore and would wear them to bed if i could (may have worn them to bed )

love my spanx ones. they are called booty and my god hold everything in. also get a pair of tights cut the feet off them and wear them under your leggings. found it last year as work from home is cold. the tights keep you warm but don't look bulky underneath

@Mother87 they are thicker than the ones you'd usually find in supermarkets or M&S, which is a plus for me because it means they're not see-through in the slightest but I wouldn't say they're thick enough to cause overheating anymore than you might be suffering anyway

I have the Boden ones too and they are lovely, really comfy and last for ages

I recommend the bamboo ones from thought clothing. They are soooooo comfortable. M&S high waist ones get a bit pinchy at the waist after a while.

Having always been happy with leggings from M&S and Next, their quality has gone downhill. I decided to try H&M after recommendations in here and they’re fab! Nice quality, comfy, not see-through and cheaper that Boden!

You could try looking for footless tights instead, the winter ones often no different to leggings, but stretchy

Uniqlo leggings are lovely, soft warm and very comfortable - and long lasting, they are the best imo

Fabletics powerhold leggings. High waist, comfortable, hold you in, squat proof, so not see-through. Perfect black leggings.

I'd say primark are the comfiest but unfortunately as you know the most see through! Oh I wish they could make them nice and thick and good quality too !

I just brought these from pink soda and they are amazing. I stopped wearing leggings as i kept trying different ones and they where always digging in my stomach or see through... these are a game changer! Love them!

Second Rapanui - best leggings I’ve ever had for both comfort and not see through at all. Not too hot either - they’re the Goldilocks of just right leggings mine have lasted well and not faded either.
