Hair question - light blonde to dark blonde?

Hi all, just a quick hair question.. what is the process of going from a lighter blonde to a darker blonde? And is it hard to do?

Bit it a back hair story.. my natural hair is a medium to light brown colour, 6 years ago I had some really lovely highlights, and my hair was a sort of dark blonde/light brown kind of caramel colour I guess. I still get highlights now, but my hair is a brighter golden blonde.. I'll attach some photos after I post.

I don't dislike my current hair colour, I just feel my old hair colour looked a bit more natural and suited my skin tone abit more.

So would it be a hard process to get back to that? And what would would the process be?

When you see the photos you might think it doesn't actually look that different haha but I promise it does!

Not sure which is you now but I prefer the picture in the black top, closely followed by the pink top.
The white top hair looks very ashy.
Not a hairdresser but I do think it will be easier to add a few darker lowlights than it would be to have highlighted it in the first place.

It's funny how light changes things isn't it haha because all those photos were taken within a month of each other and I hadn't had my hair done in-between.. but all the pics you chose were my hair years ago, I agree though!

I can only see those 3 pics, OP.
The one of you now doesn't seem to have posted if all 3 were your 'before'.

Photos sometimes take a while to upload to the servers which may be different for apps and browsers. I can see all the photos.

Tbh the colours don't look so very different. I've never had my fair hair coloured in any way, but a sunny foreign holiday can lighten it about that much and it just grows out naturally. So if say that's the process and it's very easy.Grin
