What socks do you recommend?

I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for some black ankle socks.

Whenever I buy normal black ankle socks after a couple wears and washes they go all bobbly and horrible looking, they just look so tatty and old so quickly. Do you just need to buy socks very often?

Also looking for breathable socks as I have an active job and my feet can get very sweaty and eventually smell at the end of a 12 hour day. I was thinking of M&S hosiery ankle socks/knee highs although they don’t seem durable.

Make sure you buy 100% cotton socks and use bar soap to wash your feet. It cleanses sweaty feet better then showergel in my experience.

Much better ankle length than women's black socks and seem much more hard-wearing!

Buy bamboo socks - any posh brand from TK MAxx

I get cold feet and hate socks that dig into my calves - I recently bought lovely merino wool socks from John Lewis which are great.
