Is there an easier way to curl hair?

Does anyone have an easier way to curl hair other than a curling wand? I have shoulder length hair and like to have a wavy curl just to add volume but wondering if there is a quicker/easier way? I've tried hot rollers but they just add volume to my hair and would prefer more curls. I've not managed to master curls with straighteners....

Following with interest. Would also like to know if there is a better way to hold curls too, mine seem to fall out!

I curl my hair every day using GHDs and they stay in all day. If I used a wand they would fall out in an hour or so. I would try and master curls with straightener. Maybe watch some YouTube videos.

When my dd wants curly hair I plait it damp at night into around four plaits after putting a curl enhancer spray in it.
It is quite curly in the morning and much quicker to use a wand to boost and organize the curls.
