Trainer bras

My DD is 10 and is developing boobs, she’s very slim but with obvious boobs, her measurements are 25 around her rib cage and 27 across her bust so I’m thinking she needs more support than a crop top type thing but can’t find anything with a small enough band size. Any idea where I can find small enough junior bras?

At that age my dd did just wear a crop top but they were racer back sports bra style. You'll be unlikely to find a bra with a back that small

Why are they called "trainer bras"?

Don't know. Its a stupid name anyway. There isn't enough variety in smal back sizes and larger cups either especially for younger teens who maybe only measure 26/28inches under bust.

We just get the M&S crop tops with racer backs.

Indeed. It sounds as though either the wearer or the boobs are being "trained" - but for purpose?

"Training" the boobs to defy gravity from an early age? "Training" the wearer to get used to wearing corsetry, like a horse getting used to wearing a bit? Weird term - I wonder how far it goes back and who introduced the term.

Have you had a look at bra-lets? I think they are a bit more supportive than a crop top, but I don't know what the size range is.

Thanks folks, I’ll have a look at bralets, no idea why they’re called trainer bras but she definitely needs more support than crop tops are giving.
