Help me find a classy crossbody for casual use!

I'm on the hunt for a nice bag that I can use as a crossbody during the day and ideally would look good on a night out too. So not big at all, and ideally black.

My budget is around £1200-1400 max!

I'm thinking about the Loewe mini puzzle bag which would be great for daytime but not sure if it's suitable as an evening bag? Also do you think it would last the test of time? I don't want something that is only trendy now and will look dated in a few years.

I also like the look of the YSL padded bags.

No Gucci though!

No, they don't, IMO. There are many bags that are considered timeless like the chanel classic flap, the lady dior, the Hermes birkin etc.

APC are minimal and shouldn't date. May not be expensive enough for you though.

I recently googled french bag brands and came across lots of gorgeous labels I hadn't heard of. Might be worth a go.

Cheaper is good too, I like Polene bags and have the numero uno already so wanted to try something different! APC is a bit too minimalistic for me though

I think the Puzzle's on its way to becoming a classic but agree it's not very evening-y

I really like the Balenciaga Neo Classic in mini. Think it would look good for day and night and it comes with a crossbody strap
