Hi all,

I turned 40 in May and have been having a bit of a reboot with my beauty routine! I do think I look better now than I did 15 odd years ago, if I do say so myself (this could be denial or delusion, or a bit of both, but who cares!) I make more of an effort to look after myself and generally have more confidence in my appearance. Is anyone else embracing the ageing process?

A couple of things I’m doing now is not wearing heavy foundation, I find this to much and gives me a flat 2d effect that is unflattering. I wear a cc cream by omorivcza that gives a good coverage but is still light enough so my actual real skin shows through and gives a more multi dimensional look!

I use a hydrating moisturiser at night along with 0.5 tret or an aha depending on which night as I alternate. This has made a huge difference to my skin tone, has made it a lot more even and glowy, I haven’t noticed any major difference in line reduction though, but I’m ok with that. I do use a vit c and HA serum in the morning.

Factor 50 LRP sun screen daily.

Eye shadow is matte and soft colours.

Lipstick is where I struggle I still haven’t found the ideal one yet. I use pillow talk a lot but find it makes me look a bit washed out.

Does anyone else in the same age bracket have any tips or hints? Or want to share their routines.

Thank you in advance!

I’ve been through that change in the last couple of years. There is also something about being more comfortable being who you are than you were in your 20s.

If pillow talk washes you out try Max Faux

Not beauty so much but for me my new things is essential oils both defusers and body lotions. I find the relaxation really beneficial.
