Keeping me warm in my Phase 8 Dress

Hello all you lovely stylish people. I'm thinking of buying this dress to wear to a family event next weekend (think smart casual).

What would you all recommend to go on top? It's an indoor venue but might be a bit chilly. My default go-to would be a smartish black cardigan but not sure if that will just make me look dowdy. I am size 8, 5ft4. Thanks in advance!

Its lovely, I would put a vest on underneath, and not cover up any of the dress.

Pashmina??? Sorry, I find them so dated. I wound wear a smart cardigan, OP, either a black one or a pink one.
All pashminas should be doused with petrol and set alight IMO.

Pashminas are for strappy tops/bare shoulders imo. A pashmina wouldn't hang properly on a dress with sleeves.

Will see if I can manage with a vest then, but I think maybe with a black cardi as backup.

I’d just go for a long sleeved dress sorry OP. I hate, hate putting a cardigan or jacket over 3/4 length sleeves. It’s so uncomfortable and my forearms would still be chilly. Brr.
