I'm completely at a loss and not knowing what to do I've turned to lovely mumsnet to point me in the right direction.....
How do you decide on your 'look'?
I'm 35, my only child has just turned 3, I'm 4'11 about 9st. About half a stone heavier than when I got pregnant, I've been trying to loose that last bit but it's really hanging in there!
My problem is I have a random collection of clothes now, early 20's clothes, pre pregnancy, during and post pregnancy, and of course I have lived the lockdown sweatpants look for a good 18 months! (Kinda loathed to leave it tbh, can you look nice and be comfy?) My post pregnancy body is a different shape and I think it will be even if I lose the weight. I can't wear heals anymore which makes some outfits fall a bit flat.
I've always just picked random things I like but now I feel either frumpy in my too big stuff or squashed in my too small stuff. Also a lot like I've aged out of some of my clothes.
Overall I feel too young to feel this blargh about my appearance.
Where do I start with an over hall?

Get rid of all those clothes that don't fit or don't suit your life (except store anything expensive that you love that might come back in). Pack away maternity clothes if you might have another child but otherwise get rid.

It might be more obvious what's missing once you've done that.

Look at some of the capsule wardrobes of wearsmymoney on Instagram, or go to a personal shopping appt at John Lewis, or try stitch fix or something.
