Plus size ladies, talk to me about Dr Martens

I'm desperate for a pair of Dr Martens. I like the idea that they are hard wearing and decent quality. I'm a curvy lady to say the least and my legs are what I call 'load bearing legs'. They are great for helping push broken down cars or moving heavy furniture, not so great at rocking a mini skirt or shorts!
Are there any similarly blessed ladies out there who rock the Docs? What sort of outfits do you wear with them? Bonus pints for pics!

Hi, I am not plus size but I wear DM style boots.

I recommend boots by Solovair . They are the company that made DMs way back when, and they are sold through companies like MHL (Maragaret Howell), Plumo, Toast, Poetry, YMC.

I wear mine with Lucy & Yak style dungarees, short pinafores, miniskirts, punky trousers,, midi skirts, joggers - anything and everything really.

I have no affiliation with any of these companies.

Seconding the Solovair recommendation, Dr Martens are not hard wearing and the quality is awful now. They are a fashion brand, and the quality reflects that.

After being a loyal DM customer for many years I no longer buy them, because I'm not prepared to spend over £100 for a pair of boots that last a year if I'm lucky.

I love mines OP.. Im super curvy (plus size) and 52... mines are black patent.. my happy feet

I’m chunky of calf and find DMs are mostly forgiving of this fact. I wear their Mary Jane or laced shoes or the classic boots, and with pretty much everything really!

I've just bought the black Pascal boots, they are fab!
I've worn them with midi dresses and rolled up straight jeans. If I was younger I would wear them with shorter dresses, but above knee length is no good for me now.
I've also got a pair of Birkenstock Chelsea boots in brown nubuck, they are actually a good alternative to DMs, and possibly even more comfy.
Both are wide enough for my chubby feet and ankles ( E fitting normally).

I've got two pairs of canvas boots that have both lasted years. One is wearing out but still wearable after about 5 years and they were about £80 new.
I love mine and wear with tights and wool dresses in winter.

I'm currently polishing mine!
They are Pascal Atlas, I found them on the Dr Martens website last year (in the sale)
They are olive green and faux fur lined ( I changed the laces (from the same site)
They are really really comfortable!!!! And go with just about anything! I'm usually in jeans/leggings and oversized jumpers.
Hth!
