Lashes

Had them done for the first time ever today and they're really not what I wanted, they are way too much for me.

Will they settle or am I stuck with them? I am supposed to be going back in November but I'm not sure now..

You can either go somewhere for them taking off or I always suggest to clients to use oil and cotton pads to soak them off if you get fed up and want to do it at home. You can cancel your appointment and if you really want them doing again ask for classic lashes with smaller length to look more natural 🙂

Thank you. I might message her and ask if we can tone it down next time if not I'm back to the mascara.

Seems really expensive for something you don't like..

I had the same reaction the first time. Second time I asked for the shortest ones available and that looked good.

Saying that I still found them uncomfortable and a faff. Now I use lash serum and get them permed and coloured, much better.

Mumsnut · 17/10/2021 13:06

The first time I had mine done they felt so huge I daren't leave the house. I trimmed them in the end, leaving the outside ones a bit longer - was happy enough but soaked them all off when it was time for infills and started again with something shorter and finer.

Hoorayhenryyah · 17/10/2021 15:11

What are they like? Can you post a pic? I would give it a couple of days then see how you feel, you will feel self conscious and strange as you won’t be used to them!

Hopefully this works. Ignore unruly brows, they're next on my list to do.

I think they look great , not too much or too fake
Lovely !

dudsville · 17/10/2021 18:29

Sorry you don't like them, I think they look great.

namechangedyetagain · 17/10/2021 18:36

They actually look ok in the photo? Thank you! Maybe I'm looking too close up and not seeing what everyone else sees. You're really kind.

They look great.

LilyGlobe · 17/10/2021 18:44

They look amazing! I used to have extensions but haven’t for nearly 2 years and I miss them so much!
They take a bit of getting used to first time you have them but you soon feel like your face is naked without them Grin

Hoorayhenryyah · 18/10/2021 14:00

They look lovely! You have nothing to be worried about

FindingMeno · 18/10/2021 14:03

Oh they're gorgeous.
I'd be happy for mine to look like that!

twilightcafe · 18/10/2021 14:53

They look lovely. How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?

TheVolturi · 18/10/2021 14:54

They're beautiful!

namechangedyetagain · 18/10/2021 17:47

They were 50 quid. Which I've found today could be quite expensive for our area.
Had compliments on them today so maybe it's just a getting used to the difference kind of thing.

Thank you all so much. I'm really feeling my age and completely frumpy Sad

They look lovely quite subtle but £50!!?? I would expect Russian volume for that price!

Pixilicious · 18/10/2021 18:13

They look lovely. And I’m not a ‘say something kind for the sake of it’ person

namechangedyetagain · 18/10/2021 18:17

I have no idea of cost of these things, but my friend came into work today, gorgeous lashes and hers were only 35 i might be changing if i decide to keep them going

Burnerphone21 · 18/10/2021 18:51

I pay £40 for full set and £25 for infills that's the higher end here - south west.

namechangedyetagain · 18/10/2021 19:13

Yep SW here too. Thank you that's really useful to know.

Wonder if you are near me? I could recommend some lash folk though if your friends are nicer I would go there.

I am in guz

namechangedyetagain · 22/10/2021 09:28

Well I needn't have worried as by Tuesday (so 4 days in) pretty much all of my lashes on one side had gone. Messaged the lady to be told that it's natural shedding and the side that I sleep on!
So now after finally getting used to them I look lop sided! Tempted to get the mascara out to even things up....
