Soft soled slippers

Hotdayinjuly · 16/10/2021 20:32

I’m looking for slippers with a soft bottom but are still cosy and warm. I had a pair years ago that were really comfy. The bottom was almost like suede the inside was Sherpa or and they sort of moulded to my foot shape. I can’t find anything similar they all seem to have plastic or hard soles or are ballerina ones which are a bit insubstantial. Any suggestions please?

I cant recommend any slippers ( I dont like them ) but if its just for around the house have you tried slipper socks ?
I have several pairs of totes ones , they are toasty warm and comfy but they also do quite a wide range of slippers too ( the mule ones may suit you )

I LOVE my sheepers!! Have a look on their Instagram page. I never want to take mine off

What kind of sole do you need, I have a pair of fleece lined knitted 'booties' made of wool. They're Himalayan and designed for paddling around on carpets in tents etc. I've seen them in the UK at hippie stalls and craft fairs they are beyond comfy and super toasty warm

I think these fit the brief. I get a pair every year!

My Dsis has sheepers and has recommended them previously but the sole looks really big a clumpy, I don’t like feeling like I’m wearing shoes. I do quite like slipper socks but I keep thinking about The Comfy Slippers which actually look quite like the white company ones thanks @redlollies !

Try Morland. They have lots with suede soles. Relatively expensive though x

I have the velvety totes ones for travelling but don't think they are substantial enough for every day, stone floors, etc.

ScotLot · 17/10/2021 00:41

Highly recommend these from sheepland warm, natural (so they don't get smelly but you can machine wash them) initially seem pricey but absolutely worth it and last years so price per wear works out low.

Gingerish · 17/10/2021 00:53

I also got the white company ones every year for ages. The quality isn't quite as good as it used to be, but they are still the best soft soled ones I've found so far.

cannaethink · 17/10/2021 12:21

I second the Sheepland ones. I got mine for Christmas about 5 years ago and they are still going strong. So warm but never sweaty or smelly.

Hotdayinjuly · 17/10/2021 19:55

The sheep land ones look lovely especially the snug boot ones, the white company ones more in the price range with a voucher if they ever do them. Thanks everybody

@Hotdayinjuly if it makes any difference I have got the factory seconds ones twice and they seemed perfect to me, they are definitely worth the extra £20 if you can afford it, I've had the white company ones before too and they just don't last like the sheepland ones do or feel as nice, the natural interior is so much better. Link here for the sale ones

I bought a pair of these and love them so much, I went back for another couple of pairs.
