What do I ask for - nails

I’m a nail biter but managed to stop in the new year. All except my index fingers and thumbs.They are bitten right down.
I have to have short ( not over the tops of fingers) for work and we aren’t allowed varnish..
I’m going away for half term and want my nails done properly so they last all week but no idea what to ask for. Will I be able to get anything for the really bitten ones and if so what?

Ask for tips to be put on the bitten down finger nails. I have one tip put on a thumb nail that permanently splits down the middle. The nail technician will then match the length to my other finger nails. I then have gel applied. Lasts a good 4 weeks.
