What do you think of my hair transformation?

After a disastrous ‘trim’ by DH supposed to be an inch I decided to do a big change after 3 years of blonde balayage.

My amazing colourist did this yesterday. Just wanted to share how clever she is.

I love it, the colour is great and your hair looks very healthy,
Now I think you should have new clothes make up and perfume,
You made the right decision so you may as well do the lot and treat yourself.

Exactly what I was thinking! I treated myself to a new, darker lipstick and brow pencil.

I now obviously need some beautiful jumpers in complimentary colours.

Gorgeous hair colour! I wish I was brave enough to make a change like that.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Have you got specific anti fade products? It will need a bit more upkeep than the blonde as it will fade over time, but really beautiful

It does look good but I have a feeling it will only ever look so good when done by the hairdresser. Looks a lot of work! Red fades fast too so beware!

Red hair is the best. I've been dying mine red for years. Get yourself some good high quality anti fade products. Do a hair masque at least once a week and be prepared for it to look like all the colour is washing out for the first week after dying it! It was such a shock to see all that red water the first time I washed mine. On that note try not to wash your hair as much and turn the heat right down.
Having said all that I've not done mine for 3 months and it's a right mess, but three people have complimented me on it this week. It's an absolute rainbow of shades of auburn and red which I thought looked awful but apparently not 😁

Yes I imagine it will never look that good again @Luckytattie. I can kind of achieve that curl but it takes time I don’t usually have.

Oh sorry! I was asking you for recommendations! I like kerastase but it's pricey.

Sorry to derail but anti fade product? Can somebody talk to me about this please? I have an hair colour which could do with this and have never heard of it before.

Believe that they are shampoos that have some pigment, like purple shampoo

I know the purple ones take out the brassy yellow colour and some work really well.

Never ventured into the wonderful world of red hair before so I’ll try the Elvive one as I find the purple one is really good.
