Base and top coat for nails

I’m in the market for a base and top coat for my nails. Open to an all in one or two separate bottles. I’d prefer a bargain (wouldn’t we all) but guess the right thing will make cheaper colour last a bit better.

And while we’re at it I really fancy a rose gold varnish. Cheap and cheerful please as I’m not sure how much use it will actually get.

Thanks all

I like Nails Inc top and base coats. Holo Taco make a peely base that's supposed to be good too.

I don’t think I’d like a peely one.

Nails inc is worth looking at.

I have the holo taco peely base but have had to stop using it as I'm washing up a lot and they come off easier when wet. Brilliant for using with glitter polish though. Holo taco also do a long lasting base coat and glossy top coats but they ship from the U.S. so bear in mind that there is extra cost involved with shipping and customs.

I have a rose gold metallic from maybelline, was quite a few years ago but would recommend if they still sell it.

I use OPI Nail Envy as a base coat and I like Sally Hansen as a top coat, the one in the silver bottle.

I use Sally Hansen as a base and I like Sèche Vite as a topcoat- dries nails quickly and leaves a shine. Essie has a gel top coat which also looks lovely and shiny shiny but takes longer to dry

Thanks all. I was tempted with the nail envy but as it’s quite spendy went for a nails inc base and the Sache vite top coat.

I’ll probably try the opi if I see it on offer though.
