Has anyone used any of the Augustinus Bader products.
I read a write up about the creator and his financial backer - I haven't heard of the brand before today.
The products are very €€€.
I'd love to get feedback from any Mumsnetter who has purchased AB creams, lotions or serums.
Thanks in advance

I bought "The Cream". Used it religiously every day till it was used up. Made absolutely no difference. (Unlike The Inkey List retinol, which makes my face feel smoother the next day.) I don't get the hype tbh.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've used The Rich Cream from an advent calendar. It was fine but not amazing. The lipbalm is lovely.

itsme1978 · 12/10/2021 19:53

I think the stuff is "nice" but not worth the money .......I have far more effective but cheaper products that I love

Thatswhatmamasaid · 14/10/2021 02:06

I use The Rich Cream and I find that it really hydrates and it's the only cream I've tried that gets rid of all the dry patches on my face. I also have a mini size of The Cream and agree it's nothing special.

Thought this was baby names. Was going to say no.

notangelinajolie · 14/10/2021 02:17

Over rated and over priced.
They give it away in beauty advent calendars.
If you want to try it buy a calendar - that way you get to try other stuff too.

ArchangelKitKat · 14/10/2021 02:51

I read this title and thought Rees-Mogg had fathered another child. not helpful

No i have not used it equally unhelpful but have watched Alexa Chung using it on the Vogue youtube video and her skin's gorgeous!
It's about £400 for a pump. About the same as a gallon of petrol these days but the cream will yield you a lovelier complexion.

doadeer · 14/10/2021 07:27

It's nice but not amazing. I had the rich cream in my advent calendar twice. It's a lovely moisturiser but not difference to cerave for me in texture.

shrugshrug · 14/10/2021 07:27

@GlueMyMushrooms and @ArchangelKitKat the clue was in the thread title Grin

Thank you all. You've saved me a few bob.
The AB range got a great write up in a paper lately but the consensus on here is that it's not worth the money.

I’ve tried a couple of their moisturisers in advent calendars and GWPs. I found both to be thick greasy and heavy, one caused me to break out so I used it up on my knees!

AtillatheHun · 14/10/2021 08:11

I got it in the liberty advent calendar and am currently using it. Profoundly disappointing. It’s just ok- the price is all about the marketing and all the freebies for advent calendars! The one I will buy again which genuinely is brilliant and from the Liberty calendar too is the Venn all in one serum / face cream which is expensive but 1/2 the Bader price and is properly transformative

BlackSwan · 14/10/2021 08:16

It’s good I really like it… but annoying that it’s meant to be the first thing you put on your face after cleansing.
