We have a wedding to go to in late November and while I’m hoping to drop a dress size by then, I’ve been having a look at dresses around my current size and I need some help please!
I haven’t really ‘dressed up’ since we got married 5 years ago, aside from a summer wedding where I bought a dress from John Lewis after using their Personal Shopper service. I have never been one for getting dressed up as it makes me feel intensely uncomfortable. So, I would like some advice please on where to buy a dress that is:
- Preferably on the High St where I can try on
- plain, block colours in darker shades
- simple and elegant style, at least below the knee
- can be worn with low heels which I already have (due to a good injury I cannot wear high heels)
- the John Lewis service was great but I’d like to keep the price under £100
