Where do you buy your teen girls’ bras?

Just bought another lot of bras from Primark that are all wrong and need to be returned.

Dd won’t do any shopping in actual shops, she likes to try on at home.

She likes fairly supportive bras, she’s a D cup. Where else can I look?

Cup size means nothing without a back size
Have you or she tried measuring to get an idea of size?

Basically measure under bust to give the back size and then measure the fullest part of the bust. The difference between under and over bust gives the cup size. Each inch difference increases the cup size e.g. 1 inch = A, 2 inch = B, etc

P.s. I got dds last bras from Amazon - panache I think

Echobelly · 10/10/2021 22:11

I've found Boux Avenue is quite good from small back sizes with larger cups (13 yo takes a 28C at the moment), which can be hard to find on high street. Quality has been fine.

Ducksurprise · 10/10/2021 22:12

Careful...

bendmeoverbackwards · 10/10/2021 22:13

@dementedpixie I know how to measure and that most people wear the band size too big. However dd is autistic and has sensory issues and finds the ‘right’ band size too tight. I usually get her a 32 or 34 to try.

Just checked and it was Freya Idol ones I got for dd

dementedpixie · 10/10/2021 22:17

And is it underwired or unwired you are looking for? Brastop also sells reasonably priced bras

RoSEbuds6 · 10/10/2021 22:18

I got the two packs of teen bras from John Lewis but not much support required. Petite Bateau do some I think. Have u tried figleaf?

bendmeoverbackwards · 10/10/2021 22:18

Yes underwired, dd prefers them.

At a size d why can’t you just go to m&s and get an underwater bra? Just usually ladies size? I don’t get it

dementedpixie · 10/10/2021 22:20

This is the one my dd wears

WhatsitWiggle · 10/10/2021 22:21

High Street, not teen ranges as they only seem to do up to B cup, but we've got unwired bras from Next and H&M.

bendmeoverbackwards · 10/10/2021 22:36

@Silverswirl I’ll have a look in M&S. Sorry I didn’t particularly mean teen or first bras, just looking for good supportive bras that are pretty and don’t cost the earth while they’re still growing.

Yes I think marks and spencer are good- I have always bought from there and now buy from
There for DD. I have shopped in the more expensive bra shops but found they measure your back size so small that it’s horribly uncomfortable and I end up not wearing the bra at all!
M&S are comfy and won’t break the bank either

14 yr old Dd likes Victoria Secret t shirt bras- you can order them direct or from Next. Lots of colours.
