Help 40s approaching!

I am turning 40 in a few months time and am feeling like I want to revamp things. I have just lost 2 stones and now a size 12/14. I’ve finished paying off some long term debts so have a bit more spare cash and would like to use it for myself! Any idea/tips etc to help would be gratefully received. Equally ideas of clothing/outfits etc- usually high street/supermarkets prices though not really expensive options please! X

Have a think about over a month the kind of things you will be doing. So for me it is this number of outfits for autumn winter abs will as a couple of new bits in January.

Work x 20 days
Running errands x 4 (jeans and top)
Day time outings x 4 (skirt+top or dress)
Night time outing x 2 (dress or skirt or jeans often same as daytime tbh)
Plus At home (harems and t shirt or long sleeved top)

Plus smart and casual coat and shoes.

This is a capsule wardrobe concept so I might have 2 pairs of jeans and two skirts, several tops one jumper one dress etc.

I get most of my stuff from Matalan Tesco /Asda /primark and bits from m and s. Next and hm. I don't like online shopping and we have rubbish shops near me. I return a lot and follow some Instagrammers, and used to regularly look at Facebook style groups (now prefer Instagram)

If I haven't worn it before the return periods date I take it back.

Finding jeans was the hardest for me as I find them so uncomfortable but I have found some elasticated tapered ones from next I love.

Yesterday it was warm so I wore beige animal print ruffle skirt and a black top with a a wide belt abs palmieras (family party) Plus faithful denim jacket. Today skinny jeans and a drop sleeved oversized t from Asda.

I'm happiest in a midi skirt and a top!

I'm 41 and size 14-16. Live in deprived semi rural area. Very dull -but love clothes.

Wow well down that's amazing! Can I ask how you lost the weight? I'm 41 and the weight is creeping on. I normally shop in new look and primark, H and M. But recently re doscovered Matalan and loving their stuff at the moment.

Thanks everyone! I’m looking up the capsule concept and thinking this is a good way forward so thank you @cherrypiepie. @Meltinthemiddle I joined SlimmingWorld I made a promise that I would keep going until I reached my own goal- 2 stone. I’ve stopped going but still follow it myself at home and buy the magazine for fresh ideas etc. The only downside of weight loss is nothing fits any more 😂
