No.7 offer today - recommendations please to help look less tired!

I’ve had a stressful few weeks and as I’m out at shops now I want to treat myself to some skincare & make up. I see No.7 have a 3 for 2 offer on so thought I could buy from there.

I’m 46, perimenopausal, I feel like I’ve gained a bit of weight which shows in my face and my eyes seem to be getting smaller and more piggy like!
My skin tone is light-medium olivey but can look sallow. Hair brown with highlights, eyes brown.
I’ve always had dark under eye areas and have never found anything to cover them without looking obvious - would love some recommendations to help with this.

Last few weeks have been very stressful and I feel tired and run down which I think shows in my face. I’d love to treat myself today to try and look and feel a bit better.

Does anyone have any suggestions please that I can get from No.7 or Boots in general? If anyone is similar colouring to me any suggestions would be great too.

Lift and Luminate range is great, and for your (our!) age group.
Hydraluminous foundation is one of my holy grails, if not THE HG!

Littlemiss74 · 10/10/2021 13:07

Thanks @Geamhradh what kind of finish does the foundation give?

I just bought a few things from No7 Hydraluminous range a couple of days ago. I was in store and tried the Hydraluminous skin perfector and loved it. It is very sheer, just a tinted moisturiser reallly, but very flattering on my (50s) face. Also got a Hydraluminous lip balm. Next time I want to try the Hydraluminous powder, supposed to be vg.

How much was the hydraluminous skin perfect it and is it in different Shades?
Sounds exactly what I’m looking for

Ponks · 10/10/2021 13:47

It was £14 and in a few shades like Fair, Light, couple of types of medium etc. I got Light which was the second lightest and more for a neutral colouring rather than pinky.

The Hydraluminous under eye concealer/ brightened is also worth trying, forgot to mention that.

PS I sound like I'm paid by Hydraluminous, I'm not I just find the range very good. Couple of years ago I was all about Estée Lauder doublewear, then my skin changed and I prefer a lighter mire dewy look.

Geamhradh · 10/10/2021 13:51

The Hydraluminous foundation is a buildable medium coverage foundation but with light reflecting wotsits.
Love it.

Thank you Dewy sounds like what I want too. Rather than dull skin!

Yes yes yes to the hydraluminous range. I'd been wearing Giorgio Armani foundation for years but switched to hydraluminous anout 6 months ago and not looked back I love it. I've also been asked by quite a few friends what foundation I'm wearing as they've noticed it looks good.

Littlemiss74 · 10/10/2021 14:30

@Geamhradh thanks been to Boots but no testers
so I don’t know what shade I’d need & there are a few!

Could you try the Findation shade finder on line? Type in foundations you already have and it might come up with your match for Boots No7.

citygirl1961 · 11/10/2021 00:57

I've got two of the No7 vouchers. I normally use Clinique Even Better Glow foundation, is the hydralmunious as good as that do you think?

Rummikub · 17/10/2021 00:00

I’ve just got the concealer in this range and foundation.
The foundation doesn’t look as dewy as I was expecting but it seems a good colour match.
I also got the night cream - I couldn’t remember the product pps suggested. But hoping I’ll wake up looking refreshed tomorrow!

Which skin product gives best results fastest in this range?

The boots I went to today had testers. The assistant sanitised the dispenser bit and left me to play.

I'd recommend Superfacialist rose oil- it's around £7 on offer in Boots ( or was.) It's also on Amazon.

I bought their cleanser (Rosehip) as I wanted something cheaper than the Clinique and REN I use and was impressed.

The oil is lovely- you only need a few drops, last thing at night, or as a kind of 'treatment' during the day ( it's a bit too oily to use under make up.)

Rummikub · 17/10/2021 14:12

Is that to moisturise or does it have additional benefits?

I’ve always had good skin and never had to do much except a bit of E45 every now and then. But now it’s dull and I have age spots as the no7 assistant told me.
