Hair dye Majirel, what proportions?

I would like to start dying my hair myself and have been using a box dye every 3 weeks. A friend said I should use Majirel which my hair dresser uses but I haven't a clue what I need/what proportions to use. Could anyone explain how/what with links? My roots show in about 2/3 weeks.

The normal ratio for tint on tint and no lift is 1:1 with the correct activator/developer.

Pls make sure you do a skin test first though op because professional colours have a different make up in them

I never really used majirel as I’m a koleston girl but I think their mixing ratios are different. 1:1.5 rings a bell from my college days. It’ll be on the instructions in the box.

You need to do a lot more research then just asking others to post links.

Firstly don’t expect the same as what your hairdresser has done as depends on which developer they have used.

My friend recommended I use the 20vol not 30vol as the 30vol will make you have bright roots compared to the rest of the hair.

Yes as a rule with tint (not bleach) 20 vol is for going darker, same depth one shade lighter, 30 vol for 2-3 shades lighter and 40 vol for anything more.
