As the subject says :)

I have to go to a works awards dinner and need to dress up. I’m fairly senior so don’t want anything that shows much skin- let’s pretend that’s the reason and it’s not because I’m overweight.

I’m short, 5’2 and will need size 14/16 probably. Happy with dress or suit but have a stomach.

I need a complete outfit, shoes the lot! Please help, I really am at a loss and having a panic and am not looking forward to it.
It’s all to do with the extra weight I’m carrying and I don’t think I’ll lose enough - am currently dieting - to feel more confident on the night.

TIA

I would go for a jumpsuit. I think they’re much more flattering than a dress. I have a few that I wear all the time. Can be dressed up with heels, or dress down with sandals or trainers for daytime, so really versatile.

Monsoon had some nice things in their evening dresses section last time I looked.

Their sustainable collection iirc.

John Lewis do a "special occasion" personal stylist session in their larger stores.

So many if these are gorgeous, I can’t choose which one to show you:

What is your hair colouring and skin tone, OP? A nice jewelly colour in either bright or muted tones may not be out of your comfort zone, but colour that flatters will make a huge difference.

@rookiemere thanks for the dress suggestion- I absolutely love that dress. I have big boobs, how do you control them in that dress, is it very revealing? TIA

@Motherfeckinlegend it's actually not as revealing with big boobs as it looks on the picture. However having worn it last night for a work occasion I might wear a cami top underneath or safety pin it a bit - I've done it with a few dresses.
It is Gorgeous though. I don't normally wear things link that and I felt amazing in it last night.
