What perfumes are you fancying for Autumn and Winter?

I'm in need of some new perfume but can't test any obviously - v frustrating. I usually find a perfume I like and then buy a 5 or 10ml sample on eBay, as I get bored of a scent way before I get near the end of a 30ml bottle

What fragrances do you love at this time of the year, either new ones or old classics? Ta

Oooh I love an Autumn perfume!
My favourites are NR for her EDT, Chanel Allure, Replica By the Fireplace, Floral Street Ylang Ylang Espresso and Givenchy L’Inderdit.

John Lewis still have testers.

Perfume parlour is great for little sample sizes from many different scents to try. They are dupes but very very good copies. I've just bought some of their version of the Tom Ford's tobacco/vanilla.

I spend hours on Fragrantica. Having researched similar perfumes to favourites, I've bought a few small (30ml) bottles blind - the best of which has been Mon Guerlain. It's a bit less intense than Black Opium/Dior Addict and perfect for day wearing.

Angel Muse is really really nice too - it's quite heavy so you need to go easy with it but it's warm and lushious, perfect for Autumn.

If you get bored of a perfume before you get to the end of a bottle, it sounds like continuing to get testers or small bottles is the right thing for you.

In your shoes, I'd consider a taster set from 4160 Tuesdays, choosing either the Amber Gems set, or your own selection of 7. In autumn, I like Amberama, Shazam!, Creamy Vanilla Crumble, Another Kiss by the Fireside, and Captured by Candlelight.

In autumn I also love Serge Lutens' perfumes Five O'Clock Au Gingembre, Chergui, and Feminite du Bois. I think ebay would be your best bet for getting samples of those.

Also Etat Libre d'Orange's Like This for its ginger and pumpkin notes, or Chanel Bois des Iles which is a rich sandalwood.

Considering buying an almost run out YSL Cinema as I really like that too.

Superdrug still have testers too but mostly at or behind counter.
