Best Bra Brands

I am like the princess and the pea when it comes to bras. I feel everything and feel discomfort so easily. I used to buy Triumph and Gossard and got on well with them. I still think they do good, well fitting bras. I have tried various other brands, but it’s rare I get on with them (I have wasted so much money on brawl. I know lots of women buy M&S bras, but even when they seem comfortable at ‘try on’, I just don’t find them comfortable when I’ve been wearing one for more than an hour or so (all my M&S bras are now going to the charity Smalls for All). I recently bought a Wacoal bra and it blew me away! I have since bought two more and I am totally smitten. They are really well fitting, but the fabrics, seams etc are so much better than any other brand I have tried. The fabrics are so soft. I think I’ve become a devoted convert.

I really like Panache and Freya. Fantasie make lovely bras too but the smallest band size is too big for me so they're no good.

I like Chantelle. I can't justify the cost of buying them at full price anymore, but I've been lucky buying random colours from Lingerie Outlet.

It's not just getting your bra size right, it's also about getting a bra maker whose styles suit your breast shape. So say the wise bra fitting ladies at Rigby & Peller in Knightsbridge.

Wacoal really suits me (you can often pick them up new at good prices on Ebay) so maybe we have similar shaped breasts OP. The other brands which work really well for me (so might work well for you) are Marie Jo and Simone Perele.

@HundredMilesAnHour that advice from R&P seems spot on. The Wacoal site usually has some items on sale. Currently, some at 30% & 40% off which Ebay can’t usually better. There is a great red bra on there. I just received it, together with another in my size 38dd, but it is weirdly small. I like the shape, design and fabric so much that I’ve reordered it in a 40d on the off chance that it will work.

I’ll take a look at the other brands you mentioned.

I like Charnos. They just seem to work for me. I usually get them on eBay to help keep costs down.

I love Maison lejaby - expensive, but the best for me, they are really comfortable, supportive and give a nice shape. I rotate with M&S, but there is a massive difference between them in quality and support.

I love Marie-Jo, a bit expensive but worth every penny.
