Work trousers for winter...what are we wearing?

I love a crop trouser, but it's getting a bit cold.

Last year I mainly wore jogging trousers to wfh, so I'm in a wilderness. I'm slim and feel swamped by the wide legs, I can't stand a paper bag as it takes away my waist and just makes me look unkempt.
What shape is everyone wearing this winter?

Knee length socks under crops.
Couple of pairs of vintage wool tapered.

Following as not really sure. Lots of people seemed to be going for the long and wide ones. But I am not a fan - so need more inspiration

They're smart, flattering, wash well and cover my ankles!

I picked up an emergency pair in Matalan today, I had nothing to wear next week. They are slim fit black ones that stop between ankle and where they should, I'm not sure I even like them, but they'll do for Monday.
Our local next is like a jumble sale as they try to see off summer dresses, H+M had sizes on either side of the spectrum only, and I hate online shopping.
Everywhere seems to have a million tops, some jeans, plastic skirts and not much else.
Maybe they've forgotten that some people must dress for work

I love my ankle grazers but just can’t make them work with autumn/winter footwear

I just got a pair of boots from M&S that are a bit higher in the leg than average and work perfectly with all my cropped trousers that I usually wear with bare ankles and flats/trainers (and in BC times, heels). The elastic extends higher than the leather so the opening at the top is narrower than usual, hence the crops sit nicely over the top of them without getting rucked up. I wore them to work yesterday with cropped grey windowpane check trousers from uniqlo and got a lot of compliments.
