What colour winter coat?

I'm thinking of treating myself to a new waterproof winter coat this year. I've had a Seasalt Plant Hunter in the past (many years ago, it's now too small...) and thinking of getting that again - but which colour?

I can't decide if this Bitter Cocoa (photo attached) one is lovely or if it's dowdy to have a brown coat? I don't really have many brown clothes generally but that may be a good thing so I'm not dressed head to toe in brown. My autumn/winter wardrobe is mostly dark and deep colours (autumnal and jewel shades) and I have light brown hair and my skin tone is pale but warm.

I also like the Oak colour of these coats but it's a bit of a statement isn't it, as it's almost a mustard yellow? Or the Onyx which is basically black - maybe that's the most versatile after all?

I like the Dark Turf but I'm addicted to green. Also like the Midnight.
The Oak is mustard. Tricky colour. Onyx yes very versatile - but the Midnight would be too surely?

Bitter Cocoa - brown. Ambivalent. It's a nice brown though - dark and slightly pinky to my eyes. If you want brown it IS a good brown!

I think the Midnight would be my favourite, but the Cocoa is nice - it looks more like an aubergine, purple-brown. The Dark Turf I like too.

I like the slate one the most. Looks more stylish. Next to that the onyx.

If you mostly wear deep, autumnal shades, then go with the Mast. And make a statement. Winter can be depressing enough so let the coat give you a lift when you put it on.

Looks lovely and I'm very tempted to buy one but would probably buy midnight

I have it in Oak. I love it more than any coat I’ve ever had.

This is not helping me decide Grin

I think the main issue is that none of the colours specifically jump out at me as amazing, but I'd happily wear any. I know from having one previously that it's a really good coat, though, which is why it's one of my top choices in general. My previous one was quite a dull taupe kind of a colour but it went with everything.
