Non-cutesy nightwear

Sorry this is neither stylish nor beautiful! I am looking for long sleeved nightshirts/nighties (like long-ish t-shirts) which do not have Disney or Harry Potter or daft slogans on them, and are not the sort of long fussy “gown” that seems the only other option. I only wear them for actual sleeping, so no-one sees them except DP and the cat, but I would rather buy something I actually like.

I can find more long pyjama type top things, which look lovely, but definitely do not want to have to iron nightwear! I’m a size 10 and 5ft 6, and don’t care about short/riding up.

Can anyone help, please?

Lands End do plain long sleeve round neck nightwear. Knee or calf length.

A quick look at M&S showed THESE

@HelebethH I've never shopped in Lands End before but will have a look, thank you!

@Trumpton I actually saw those in M&S when I went on what I thought was an easy mission yesterday. They looked absolutely tiny, so I went on my merry way thinking I'd find something no trouble. Thanks for reminding me of them. Maybe in like a size 18 they would fit!

I buy big and cut labels out (vain!) Grin

The cutesy M&S ones I did not like were ginormous. SO inconsistent!

I'm lusting after a set of pyjamas from Toast, and they have some long plain nightshirts/tops - although maybe too long?

Muji have the plainer non-slogan stuff but no nighties.

www.cottontraders.com/women/nightwear_night-dresses/ Are these too long?

XingMing · 07/10/2021 16:25

Here you go, but don't blame me if you end up with a cashmere dressing gown!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 07/10/2021 22:11

@Pigtailsandall I think Toast is more than I want to pay. Maybe from Santa though!

@NapoleonOzmolysis those are the best yet - I have ordered the stripy one. Thank you so much!

@XingMing that link doesn’t work for me but I am very intrigued. Are you able to re-post, please? I have a lovely white waffle dressing gown DP bought me but I favour an over-sized Arket cardi over my lounge wear and never wear it, so I am probably safe enough on the dressing gown front…

Lands end, fabulous quality

Asda would be my next port of call: direct.asda.com/george/women/nightwear-slippers/womens-nightdresses/D1M1G20C18S2,default,sc.html

I just bought a beautiful nightshirt from yawn. 100% cotton

XingMing · 08/10/2021 13:43

@Judystilldreamsofhorses, Google Bonsoir of London. But £££.

prettyteapotsplease · 08/10/2021 13:45

I saw plain nightwear in Peacocks t'other day, pyjama tops and bottoms, logo-free.

BelleOfTheProvince · 08/10/2021 14:15

Pour moi do some simple ones.
