Help - 10 days to beach holiday!!

And I’ve been wiped out for the last 3 weeks with a horrible bug (not Covid). I am exhausted . Have done no exercise. Skin looks grey and pale and dehydrated.

I’ve been living on cough sweets and carbs so I’m feeling bloated and my previously fairly flat stomach looks bad.

What can I do in 10 days, bearing in mind I’m still not feeling 100%. I am at least off work from Friday for a fortnight. Smile

Help please!!! I was so looking forward to this holiday and choosing nice clothes etc… but I just feel depressed at the state of myself.

Low carb high fat. Cut out bread, rice, pasta sweet things. Eat eggs, veg, meat, butter and more eggs. Drink more water than you want to. You WILL see a difference in 10 days. Enjoy your holiday.

Create some nice outfits out of stuff you have already so you’ll know it fits and suits you.
Also you will be feeling a lot better by the time you go and think of all the delicious fruit and salads you’ll eat on holiday and how well that will make you feel.

I would focus on cutting out crap rather than reducing quantity of food. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, chicken, fish, meat rather than stodgy carbs. Don’t try and crash diet because you need fuel to recover from being ill properly, if you punish yourself with unrealistic goals you’ll prolong your illness or fail or both, and just make yourself feel crap.

Think of the lovely sunshine that awaits you, you are bound to feel better once you are there.
Use this run up now to get yourself well, so lots of healthy soups full of veg, drink lots of water and get some protein in you,
What were your favourite outfits on your last holiday, do you still have them, go for your good old faithfuls!
Enjoy!!

Thanks so much everyone Smile

It’s my day off today so I’ve had my hair cut and am going to have an afternoon nap. Had a very healthy breakfast and lunch.

I may try to do an online Pilates workout later if I feel up to it.

You've been ill. I wouldn't start cutting out any food groups but focus on healthy, nourishing food to help you recover. Gentle exercise like yoga if you feel up to it. Drink plenty of water. Online shopping for some holiday outfits that you can send back if no good. Maybe book in for a professional body scrub and fake tan, manicure and pedicure.
