What does it all mean ? Silicone-free. Sulphate-free. Other stuff.

What are the recommendations ? I have post COVID/stress-related/post menopausal (take your pick) hair loss. My hair is thin, lank, wavy and highlighted.

Silicone coats your hair and allegedly makes it shiny but it causes long term build up.

Sulphates are a surfactant that remove grease but they are harsh and can strip oil and hair dye out of the hair.

Sounds like you need something gentle for fine hair!

What is an example of a gentle shampoo ?

I’ve been trying to pick the right one for years. I switched hairdressers and was finally given a good recommendation rather than being sold their salon markup stuff! L’Oréal Serie Expert (the gold one) - I get a huge bottle from Amazon every 6/8 months.
