Found a brilliant shampoo for very fine hair!

Just wanted to share. Even my dh said the other day "your hair looks lovely" which I'm not sure he has ever said before.

I've tried every volumising shampoo for very fine straight hair and this one is the business, am so happy with it. Streets ahead of L'Oreal Elvive, Tresemme, Aussie and John Frieda.

Obviously I have absolutely no connection with the manufacturers or anything.

Anyway, it is Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Watermelon shampoo. And only £2.99 at Superdrug atm! Give it a go if your hair does nothing but hang there limply.

Seconded, I love it! Use with the conditioner too. I originally read about it in Sali Hughes' column in the Saturday guardian magazine I think!

Arcadia · 05/10/2021 18:57

I have quite thick hair, but it just makes it feel amazing!

VouisLuitton · 05/10/2021 19:38

Ahhh gutted I’ve just bought a huge bottle of L’Oréal Elvive! I will try this one next time though, thanks for sharing!

Three0fivepointfour · 05/10/2021 19:40

Oh, thanks. Do you use a conditioner with it?

BordelDeMerde · 05/10/2021 19:44

Ooh, I have the watermelon hair mask. Must give the shampoo a go too so.Smile Thanks OP!

Pretendingtosmile · 05/10/2021 19:50

Thanks op, I have the coconut macadamia hair mask (very good so far) but will pop out tomorrow and hopefully have lovely hair to look forward to

mistermagpie · 05/10/2021 20:06

Must try this!

Another Sali Hughes tip (although I generally can't stand the woman) is to sleep with your hair up in a scrunchie on top of your head. I do this and my hair looks way more voluminous in the morning! I don't wash my hair every day though...

Squiz81 · 05/10/2021 20:35

Ooh thanks for the tip. I haven’t tried the watermelon one yet, I’ve used the others ones they make and I love them.

RolloTomassi · 05/10/2021 21:30

Thanks, OP! Will try this!

AnyFucker · 05/10/2021 21:32

FindingMeno · 05/10/2021 21:33

I much prefer elvive to ultimate blends. Having said that, I've not tried the watermelon one so I'll give it a go!

Do you mean in a bun or a high pony tail?
changingusernamecosofthis · 05/10/2021 22:05

Agreed!! This has revolutionised my hair 🙌🏼

lazylinguist · 05/10/2021 22:06

Ooh - sounds good. My hair is ridiculously fine.

RoyKentsHairyBack · 05/10/2021 22:08

Oh no - I have this (shampoo, conditioner and the mask) and my hair is awful:( So much so I am stealing dds tea tree shampoo and contemplating binning it. Honestly my hair feels like a dense rats nest.

It's fine but lots of it, normal/slightly greasy.

JoyOrbison · 05/10/2021 22:08

Ooh thanks for the tip op!

Lanique · 05/10/2021 22:10

I used this one recently but I prefer the coconut, banana or Aloe.

Lanique · 05/10/2021 22:10

And I have very fine hair.

WhenSheWasBad · 05/10/2021 22:11

Thanks for the tip.

Someone I know suggested shampooing your hair twice (per wash). That seems to make a difference.

I’ll have to try this too.

MichelleScarn · 05/10/2021 22:13

Am off to buy some (not right now obvs) I have awful fine hair and not lots of it so can be Miss Trunchbull scraggy!

whatisheupto · 05/10/2021 22:17

I have this shampoo but find my hair gets even greasier even more quickly when I use it.

Coronilla · 06/10/2021 10:34

I use this and agree it's great. Love the conditioner and mask too. My hair is fine, long and thick, and I wash it every day. I think the lack of silicone helps.

It seems to permanently available for 3 or 4 quid in Savers stores.
