Does anybody know anything about Ali Express. An Asian site which appears to sell a variety of stuff for v reasonable prices.
Shipping is free, but I’m just wondering about Customs Duty etc.

Aliexpress is a Chinese company owned by the aliababa group (jack ma’s empire). I imagine you would need to pay duty as items are coming from China.

Duty and taxes are added at checkout.

Watch out for knock offs, no safety checks on goods and the stuff takes months to arrive.

I buy stuff from here quite often but I keep it under 5 or 10 pounds. Then if its crap it doesn't matter. I've had a few duds but overall its been as described. I probably wouldn't but clothes though. It's just like wish.

I’ve just bought an outfit from here. It’s good quality. I didn’t have to pay customs. It arrived in about 2 weeks (or slightly less)

Thank you. As I thought, I would probably have to pay duties.
I noticed Catwalk Gee/Reloved again featuring a padded jacket today on her IG. She was comparing the coat favourably to a much more expensive one liked by the Instagrammers.

I've bought a lot of small stuff from there, tends to take a while to arrive but have always been pleased with the quality, I've never had to pay import duty or tax but maybe just lucky?
