I'm getting married in 2 weeks don't have a dress!

Please help me find one!

Nothing white or long. I'm 5 foot 6, size 14 with disproportionately chunky thighs and now a mum tum too 😬 I'm thinking something knee length, with a highish waist to hide the tummy. I'm not keen on high necks for some reason. Blue is probably my best colour. Patterned is fine. I don't mind 50s style be don't want to look like I'm heading out for a night of lindyhopping

Any suggestions? I'm slightly freaking out!

TrueRefuge it is isn't it? I think its nicer than my wedding dress (which was white and long though a fairly plain evening dress) was.

The nancymac organza dress is beautiful and would be so lovely for a wedding.

As you have all been so helpful I could really do with some more last minute advice - how the feck to iron it??!! It's made of "silk viscose crepe" whatever that is. Obviously I should have hung it up as soon as I got it but because I am a dick I just shoved it back in the packaging. Can I hang it up in a steamy room or will that do something awful? It's dry clean only.

Does anyone you know have a steamer? That would do the trick. You can usually pick them up starting from around £30 so a trip to Argos might be in store if you can't borrow one.

A steamy room should also work but I find a steamer does a much better job.

Steamy room will be fine- take it slow, proper hanger so it falls well and turn dress inside out just in case of marking
You can iron carefully on warm to cool, with a little water spray and under a sheet towel. Again inside out, if steam alone doesn't work

I got mine 3 days before so you're doing fine... . I went to a big John Lewis and got a Ghost dress. Have a look at Ghost online.

Just came back to say to thanks. I am now a married woman I tried with a borrowed steamer but gave up and switched the shower on to the hottest it goes and it did the trick. The day was lovely and chilled and everyone complemented the dress (even if it was upstaged by a super cute toddler and a kilt wearing groom 😂). Thanks again!
