Sezane shoppers - a warning about new refund policy!

I’ve recently had a difficult experience with Sezane so wanted to pass on a warning: I returned a couple of orders within a week or so of receiving them, and a month later I’m still struggling to get my money back, despite them having been received on time. I’ve been told that this is because they are now sending all items to their “Atelier” in France to be checked before issuing refunds, rather than the previous system of refunding returns as soon as they reached the UK depot. This is evidently causing huge delays and all they can tell me is that they’re dealing with it - no-one will give me an answer about how much longer this will take. I wanted to make people aware of this as I know there are several other Sezane shoppers on here and their clothes are not cheap (I’m currently out of pocket to the tune of hundreds). Unfortunately the Sezane FB groups are also full of similar warnings!

That sounds so annoying! I will bear in mind!

This is nothing new unfortunately - this company has so many appalling review on Trust Pilot and combined with the poor quality of the items, it best avoided art all costs. Just awful.

@MapleMay11 I agree with this unfortunately - until now I’ve never had a problem with returns but I have found the quality has gone downhill (far too many synthetics given what they charge!) I have some nice pieces I bought years ago but I won’t be going back after the way I’ve been treated over what should’ve been perfectly straightforward returns.

@VillKrill It's so disappointing when this happens. They must know they are losing a lot of customers yet they don't seem to care.

I was so excited to go to a Sézane shop in Paris recently - I had to queue for 30 mins too - but I was disappointed by the quality and didn't bother to try anything on. Mind there was another long queue for that, so it's still popular with Parisiennes.

VillKrill · 04/10/2021 09:12

@SeaRabbit It's very hit and miss isn't it? The things I've ordered recently have pretty much all been overpriced low-level high street quality (hence the returns!) They now seem to have gone completely silent on me so who knows when I'll ever see my money again.

Totally agree with @MapleMay11 that they just don't seem to care about losing customers. Their marketing/hype seems to be very effective so I think that's where they're concentrating their efforts!
