Jeans & Dresses Recommendations

Basically I need help.

I need high waisted jeans to hold in my mum tum but not ones that will stop me breathing when I sit down. They need to have big pockets because I have a big bum and small pockets look horrendous. Must be slim/straight/flare because mom jeans look dreadful on me. I don't want them to look cheap.

Also thinking dresses might be a good option for winter considering how hard it is to look nice in jeans. Need recommendations because a quick scan on John Lewis, M&S and asos had produced 0 items I like the look of. I can't wear anything cinched at the waist because of aforementioned mum tum. Flat chested too so wrap dresses not ideal on two fronts. Not sure what length is most wearable, nothing mini. Do have nice legs and a slim ribcage. Must be doable with tights or leggings for winter.

I would greatly appreciate links to specific items if anyone has any suggestions. Happy to pay good money for good products, at that age where quality shows. Generally prefer stuff on the minimalist side rather than the fussy side but not averse to a floral.

TIA hive mind xxx

All high waisted jeans cut you in two when you sit down

Big pockets can often be found on traditional jeans brands such as Levi, Lee etc (not so much on Next, M&S etc imo). I got some nice Lee Carpenter jeans with huge big pockets

Dresses are a polyester prairie dress frilly wasteland Grin Am not buying dresses right now!

I just bought some MUD jeans. They're properly high waisted, as in sit on my belly button, and were very comfortable sitting down.

I got these which are probably too mom style for you mudjeans.eu/products/cropped-mimi-sun-stone

But they also have slimmer straight fits

Next Lift Slim and shape jeans. They do them in straight. Jeans never fit me but these do, are really flattering, comfy and stretchy.

Look at Asda and Sainsbury's. I have mum tum and big bum, there jeans are only jeans that look good 9n me. Asda ones are in their Jean shapewear section.

DS is 9 months and I had a mum tum before having him - I defo store weight on a pouch below my belly button.

I’ve been through about 20 different pairs of jeans looking for ones that are flattering & suck you in - Topshop Jamie on ASOS have been my winners so far.

Mango & Free People have nice floaty but flattering dresses usually. Check out wearsmymoney on Instagram - she is big on dresses, usually midi but good for autumn etc.

M&S balloon leg jeans… less 90s than the mom jeans.

Thanks for the suggestions! Defo checking them out
