A decent windproof umbrella?

Desperately need a sturdy brolly that is windproof and strong. Any ideas? Have had 2 off amazon now with 5 star reviews get they've been absolutely crap!

Would prefer one that doesn't collapse, so a small golfing style.

i've one shaped like this link, and it's great, it doesn't blow inside out etc with the wind and is easy to fold up and down. It's not that exact one, but similar (most of the ones that sort of shape seem to be similar in terms of how well they cope with wind etc)

Agree with PP the see-through dome shaped ones are excellent. I'd never buy anything else now

Blunt umbrellas are really good!

Umbrella Heaven have a whole section of wind proof umbrellas. I've got their stealth fighter aerodynamic umbrella, it's really well made and nice quality.

I came to suggest Blunt umbrellas, but have been pipped to the post.

I had a GustBuster umbrella from Amazon that lasted years. When it finally gave out a couple of years ago, I bought another and it seems as strong as the first one. It's semi-automatic and midsized.

Davek are brilliant. Expensive but really strong. I don't expect to buy another brolly ever unless I lose it and they even replace once after a loss.
