Heels for wedding?

Those who have been to weddings recently, did you / were other guests wearing heels?

I haven't worn heels for ages and feel like they're less 'in' these days but wondering if i might regret not wearing them if I end up looking less dressy (not to mention shorter 🤪) than everyone else!

I will be interested in the answers I'm going to a cocktail party next weekend .
I'm wondering the same as I was reading on here heels are not a thing anymore ?
I'm wearing a dress and I'm going out tomorrow in London to buy shoes to go with it so don't know if to go for a heel or a heeled boot.
But not sure a heeled ankle type boot would look dressy enough ! Think it would look more edgy ?
But not sure if the done thing at cocktail events .

I’ve been to a wedding and a christening in the last month, and heels were worn on both occasions by most of the younger (as in under 60) female guests. Who looked great.

The number of people predicting that heels will never come back into fashion regularly surprises me. Of course they will. Anything that looks glamorous, polished and sexy will not go out of style.

Trainers and flat shoes have their place of course, and you can get some lovely glamorous flats for smart occasions, but there’s no way that heels will ever be absent from formal events. If you like them, wear them!

Plus, when I’ve been out in town in the evening, all the young women are wearing them.

I am going to a wedding in a couple of weeks time. I will definitely be wearing heels - my DH is 6 ft 3 and I am 5 ft 4 so I don’t want to look like a midget next to him in photos! However, I will most likely take them off for the dancing in the evening

I got married in really cool trainers recently, really comfy and loads of people said how much they liked them!

I saw a lot of people going to a posh wedding about a month ago, whilst the women were mainly wearing heels they were lower than they used to be, 2-3in she's as opposed to 4 or 5 inches

I was at a wedding recently and nearly all of the women wore heels. Not stilettos though.

I wore kitten heels to the last wedding I went to a few weeks back and there were plenty of "proper" heels too.
