A coat that does everything?

I have quite a few coats, a rain coat, I big superdry parka coat, a fluffy teddy jacket and a gillet but would ideally like a coat that does everything, something that’s water proof but not too bulky, that’s practical but also a bit stylish. I love my superdry coat but it’s bulky and o can’t really wear it out walking without getting sweaty.

So what’s the perfect coat?

If you want to splurge (or find a good sale), Belstaff do nice coats that are practical but look stylish. Not stylish like a smart wool coat, but certainly nice enough for going for coffee.

I have a lovely warm ish waterproof from Boden, I’ve had it a couple of years and for day to day it’s perfect. I’m only 5ft 3 the length is to my knee, good winter length. Think the Morris Waterproof looks like mine.

Have done with it and buy yourself a wax jacket I treated myself to one last year it’s been great waterproof, wind proof and long enough so my bottoms covered! They last years look great but the smell when you first get them if awful! Hang it in the garage a week or so.

Mint Velvet have a beautiful waxed coat this season. I’m trying to justify using precious fuel so I can drive into the city to try it on and see if it’s the holy grail of coats, promises to be waterproof, cosy AND stylish!
