Really suffering with plantar fasciitis at the moment, I have a podiatrist appointment but not for 6 weeks. I have tried 3 different styles of fitlops as everybody recommends them, but they all hurt. So I can wear skechers go walk but lace up ones hurt. I can wear birkenstock no problem. I've tried insoles, don't work, I've ordered some gel heel cups so will try them.

What I need are some stylish trainers and some going out shoes any help gratefully received.

Also mine is secondary to arthritis but in general calf stretches are good, try hanging your heels over the edge of a stair and stretching down

Have you tried support socks /Straps /tape. I couldn't believe the instant reduction in pain. Makes most shoes OK again too

A few years ago I was really suffering, couldn't weight bare on my right foot at all

Tried everything including physio appointments

After a lot of research I tried acupuncture, which was a big step (excuse the pun) as I'm needle phobic

Was quoted up to 3 sessions may be needed, I only need one, instant pain relief and no pain has come back since, this was 5 years ago now

Vionic?
I live in their shoes. From trainers to boots & heels.

So got the gel cups and they were helpful in my go walks. Dug out my vionic trainers thought they were OK I'm now at work in agony so they are going in the charity bag.

Oofos but they aren't really stylish TBF ..... Have you tried gentle release with a hockey ball? Kind of rolling it...

Imtoooldforallthis · 02/10/2021 18:10
