Do I want a Barbour Jacket?

I all - I’m tempted by this: www.barbour.com/uk/barbour-hartwith-wax-jacket
Partly because my parents have Barbours that they have had for 20 years - but they actually live in the countryside. I live in the city, I’m not at all ‘county’ and this is probably more than I want to spend but I need a long coat that is completely waterproof to walk to work in (about 5 miles) - Does anyone have a Barbour and rates it? Can Any of you shopping geniuses suggest something else that would fit the bill? It needs to be warm ish, but not too warm as I walk quite fast!

I wouldn't get an non-barbour wax jacket. House of Bruar has nice wax jackets but the prices aren't far off the real thing. Really like HoB things though[/quote]
