Timberland sizing

After years of wearing Doc Martens I'm getting sick of having to replace them due to split soles, I was thinking of giving Timberland boots a try and was wondering if anyone could give me advice re sizing. Thanks.
Or an alternative boot, I can't stretch to Solovair at the minute...unfortunately.

Hmmm this isn’t going to help but I have had two pairs and one fitted amazingly well so I got a second pair in another colour and a (very) slightly different style and I couldn’t bloody get my feet in them! I had to give them away in the end……try some on sorry

Ah no! I so wanted to be able to order my normal size to be delivered tomorrow, job done Grin. I'm so sick of having wet feet on the school run.

I find them true to size.Smile

I have some timberland trainers, but they rubbed like hell. I had to take out the insoles out to get them to fit properly.

I find them true to size and very comfortable. I have very narrow feet though so they might not be so good if your feet are wider

boymum88 · 30/09/2021 20:19

Find they are true to size but tend to order 1/2 size bigger as I like a thick Chucky sock in winter. If your on the smaller side 6 or below look at the kids ones much cheaper

I find them true to size too
Had several pairs , loved them all

BunTooti · 30/09/2021 20:49

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll have to try some on. Wet feet for a few more days won't kill me.

I'm nearly always a 4, occasionally a 3. I think my feet are a bit wide though.
I always get a 4 in docs and then find them a little big after a while.

I'm a 4 and my Timberlands are a 4. They fit just right. I have the slim ones from Office though as the regular ones were too heavy for me. I love them though, well worth every penny and still going strong after 3 years

I'd be happy with any of these. I'll hopefully get to try some on today.

True to size for me, I have 2 pairs of Timberland in different styles and they’re both 3.5 (one is children’s like PP said). If you have an outlet shop near you, they’re well worth a visit.

BunTooti · 01/10/2021 08:41

Thanks. Do they take much breaking in?

IME Timberlands are slightly snug for size but it depends on the style. I would wear my regular size.

If you want Solovairs, look for 2nd hand ones. The soles are hardwearing. I have several pair of solovairs and got them from ebay. Most looked as good as new
The sizing on them varies, but the solovair web site has information on which last was used. I go down half a size.
