What shoes?

Going to a sixtieth birthday party in a pub and want to wear my fave recent purchase - the dress in this photo (not me in the picture, sadly). I've only worn it once, with white trainers to a concert, but don't feel like doing the same for this party. What heels/boots would you wear to make it a tiny bit smarter but still relaxed ? I like a bit of edge. Will prob wear with a denim jacket too. Or should I stick with trainers?

I’m not sure you can make it edgier but I’d go with heeled swede ankle boots in black.

Thanks for your reply. Great - got black suede ankle boots as a fallback (though I wear them all the time for work so feels a bit meh). I was wondering about maybe trying some cage heel boots in black. Thoughts?
