A floral dress with bite ?

Quite fancy a floral dress for autumn, but can't quite get there with the prints I've seen. Anyone seen something with a bit more bite ? Neon colours or details perhaps, super crazy print or just something a bit different ?

I have one - bought midsummer. Amazing print, sort of neon Impressionism, voluminous enough for an army of me, impressive commitment to huge puffy sleeves. Was love at first sight, didn’t even consider waiting for the sales.

Still unworn. Sad Summer just didn’t happen, event-wise. Now wondering how I can squash it beneath a fair isle jumper.

From Kowtow, but sold out, so not on the site now.

Edmontina I love Kowtow and know the dress!
I live in NZ where it is very popular but I think they have gone terribly oversized and frilly and really lost the plot - their earlier stuff was a thing of wonder.

Oh!

I did have a vague impression of having seen things of theirs in the past that piqued my interest. Must admit I couldn’t find anything else on their site that I wanted enough to buy. But that print! And the quality of the cotton poplin is truly awesome. And I liked the boldness of their oversizing. So I’m keeping an eye on them in the hope that future seasons appeal to me more.

Edmontina the woman who started Kowtow lives part of the year in London and part in New Zealand. She was originally from New Zealand but married an Englishman. The brand is very popular in NZ because of its ethics.

Only marginally bite-y - but I saw this and immediately thought of Helen McCrory. It’s just the sort of dress she might have worn in something like ‘MotherFatherSon’. Or even ‘Peaky Blinders’! Kinda timeless. Anyway, it’s sold out …
