Flat shoes for an outfit for a wedding?

Hello,

It’s my first time posting here after discovering (and becoming hooked on) this site earlier this year. I’ve been struggling to work out what to wear for a wedding next month and would be so grateful for any help.

Earlier this year I had my first baby and although I’ve lost some of the baby weight my shape has changed and I’m struggling to feel confident in anything I try on. I’ve came across a navy blue jumpsuit which is slightly cropped which I actually feel ok in. Now I’m stuck trying to work out what shoes to wear with it. Could flat shoes look good? If so what sort? My style is usually pretty relaxed so I never really feel right in heels but I really don’t want to look frumpy. I’m desperate to get my outfit sorted so I can feel confident to enjoy the day.

Thank you for any help or ideas.

love the jumpsuit. Just found this online www.trunkclub.com/womens-style/shoes-with-jumpsuits

I also meant to also say if anyone has been in a similar situation (finding a flattering outfit after a baby) and has any recommendations for flattering styles I’d love to hear them!

I went to a wedding last week at 37 weeks pregnant and no way could I wear heels. I wore sparkly flats from New Look and they looked nice. Definitely didn't feel underdressed or anything.

Jealous of your jumpsuit - I don't suit them even at my slimmest! I'm the wrong shape.

Ah lovely I’ll have a look at that thank you Smile
I’m glad you like the jumpsuit, after wfh, lockdowns and a baby I’m so out of touch with choosing outfits for anything let alone for a wedding!

It was these ones. Wore sparkly bits in my hair and sparkly jewellery and it all looked quite nice together!

Those are lovely thank you! I’d actually not thought of sparkly but love the idea. I’m hoping the jumpsuit looks ok on, it was always a style I’d gone for before but it’s taking a bit of experimenting to find one that’s a bit more covering.

What’s your budget? Cos these are fab party shoes but quite pricey

That is a gorgeous jumpsuit @cosomos22 where is it from? I have my brother’s wedding to go to in November and haven’t worn heels for 18+ months so this is the thread for me!

Love this jumpsuit! I'm tall and hate heels so often go flat for a wedding! I would do for a flat version of this picture, so strappy sandals but flat. Also thinking those chunky flat sandals would look really cool! Go for it OP, you'll look fab!

I went to a wedding a couple of years ago and had shoes almost identical to those posh expensive ones @PersonaNonGarter linked to.

Except mine were from Asos and about £20 Grin

With that jumpsuit I would go for round toed ballet flats, I really want to try these from The White Ribbon.

Also watching for where the jumpsuit is from please!

I would wear sparkly sandals with a good pedicure
