Where to sell clothes and bags

I usually charity my old stuff. I would like to try to sell it and see how I get on.

I'm saving for Xmas (I don't earn much) and have no idea where to start.

I've used eBay and gumtree but not sure is the best place for clothes etc.

All advice appreciated - thank you.

Vinted seems to be highly recommended by my friends and colleagues.

I use E bay - put on 4 items the other day and bids on 2 already . Looked at Vinted but prices seem very cheap .

I’ve started selling on vinted, it’s a bit slow going but I made £160 last week. I have quite a lot listed and you get cheeky people offering you half of what your asking and people asking to hold stuff for the until pay day (I think most the buyers on there are teenagers and people in their 20’s).

In a way I prefer ebay but I don’t like how much they take from you in fee’s.

Ebay is the best by far but always post recorded delivery. High end high street and natural fibre clothing items do really well as do quirky stuff and Fat Face/Me+Em/White Stuff etc. Size wise, 12 upward fetch the most.

I use Hermes and signed for - think it's an extra 50p.

It’s the posting stuff that worries me.

Vinted is great. Sold two items already.

Depop is pretty good especially for vintage and unusual stuff. Prices seem a bit higher than Vinted.
