Warm high waisted leggings?

WildFlowerBees · 28/09/2021 08:24

Has anyone seen any? I've got a pair from Tesco but I'm constantly pulling them up, I need high waisted really warm leggings for winter when I'm mucking out or out walking.

So far none of my vast collection do what they're meant to.

M&S have some amazing fleece lined ones. These are also awesome www.marksandspencer.com/heatgen-plus-thermal-leggings/p/clp60475606?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share

The soft primark ones aren't bad as a cheaper option. I find them soft and warm but not sure how warm they'd be alone and working outside. Would be nice and warm under other clothes.

randomsabreuse · 30/09/2021 10:30

Decathlon might have some.

actiongirl1978 · 30/09/2021 10:31

Amazon legging are really good. Like sports leggings but some are fleece lined.

I also have some really thick ones from mountain warehouse which for £20 have seen me through a lot of rural wet dog walks

Now the temperature has dropped I'm wearing my warm and comfy Sweaty Betty super sculpt leggings at home as they're the warmest imho.

OhRosalind · 30/09/2021 10:42

Echoing sweaty Betty super sculpt: warm and very flattering.

WildFlowerBees · 30/09/2021 13:30

@actiongirl1978 thank you, I'll have a look for those.

@SuperStarRose @OhRosalind what is the sizing like on the SB leggings please?

OP posts:
SuperStarRose · 30/09/2021 14:34

16-18 is XL, L 12-14, M 8-10, S 6-8, XS 4-6

Look up some previous threads which mention sizing to because I could be a bit out. Also the reviews on the SB site are accurate re sizing.

Some leggings are bit tighter than others due to the material used.

SuperStarRose · 30/09/2021 14:37

When my legs get too hot I change into the High Shine leggings.

I like my Power Leggings best when I just want to wear leggings out and about.

OhRosalind · 30/09/2021 14:56

I find sweaty Betty sizing runs quite big to be honest, I would say XS is more like a 6-8 than a 4-6. But I agree check the reviews for the specific styles.

lindyloo57 · 30/09/2021 15:40

I like the m&s thermal leggings, I have the thick ones and the fine one, I do find the thinker ones just like the tops, fade and bobble after so many washers. Mind you I do wear them nearly all the time from October to march.

randomsabreuse · 30/09/2021 21:32

I think Sweaty Betty is variable in sizing. I'm eyeing up the thermodynamic leggings but £47 in the sale is a bit much.

I have zero gravity leggings (very much lightweight summer leggings) in M and Powers in S as a chunky thigh'd 12/14 so the powers are definitely generous. I also am better off with 7/8 in all styles than full length at 5'5 ish.

Mrbay · 30/09/2021 21:45

I muck out, ride and generally live in the fleece lined ones from B&M - come up to my boobs nearly don't move and are only a tenner!
