Hi im 52 and typically wear make up every day . I love make up , love a good red lippy . However im finding my base a bit aging but i do like good coverage so not sure what to do. Any suggestions ? Also do you put translucent powder on after foundation ( it feels wet if not ? ) .any advice welcome?

I'm 55 and my holy grail (buildable coverage but also a light reflecting glow) is Hydraluminous by N7.
I have tried every high end one under the sun and nothing beats this.
I don't usually bother with powder but for a night out or when it needs to last I use some loose powder on top.

I'm 51 and I just use cheapo rimmel but add a drop of number 7 glow drops to it (or glow from l'oreal) and it really lifts the foundation. Coverage not as good obviously but it takes away the chalky look and gives you a bit of glow.

Lately instead of setting with a powder I've been setting with a spray.

In the summer I was using more bronze coloured glow drops to make the make up a bit bronzier.

It really works! Sounds like extra work but just mix in your palm.

I often use the No7 lift and luminate foundation and I love it. It goes on very well, not chalky. I would add a No7 glow drop to it as well.

After that I add more coverage to around my eyes to make up for the thinner coverage.

A drop of this will make even the chalkiest foundation work again.
No7 do a version of these too.

Last post I promise Grin but I see No7 has a make up setting spray in their hydraluminous range. I'm going to order that now. I need a new setting spray.

I can’t help much with the foundation query since although I’ve recently bought an Armani foundation I don’t use it in the daytime… I find tinted moisturisers better for daytime. I do use an Ambient powder by Hourglass though… they do a range of different ones. They give a softly “filtered” look to the face which Is not shiny but not matt.

I use this and love it
