Depop, Vinted, or plain old eBay?

I've done a wardrobe clearout and have some pretty decent stuff to sell. Not vintage as such but some good Cos, Jigsaw, Boden etc. What's the best app/platform to sell clothes and shoes on.l for ease and/or price? Or do you just list them on multiple and see what sells first? (Sounds like hard work...)

My son has reliably informed me that unless it's cool stuff no one on depop will buy it.....
so I downloaded Vinted 🙄
All my stuff is designer but not cool apparently

Moonshine86 · 27/09/2021 20:26

I prefer to use Vinted over eBay.

CalmConfident · 27/09/2021 20:26

I have done well both buying and selling on Vinted. I mainly buy Cos too Smile

Vinted for me, I love it.

I don't even look at ebay anymore.
Had a look at depop but didn't like it.

Vinted is great, but be warned people want things for cheap on there! Stick to the price you want to sell it at, unless you want it gone quick. Have you used it before? You will need a printer for Hermes post.
eBay is ok, as has a bigger audience but the fees are a pain and I find I don’t sell as much on there so I don’t list anymore.
I cross list on depop but I don’t sell a great deal on there.

I've given up on ebay as most of it seems to be shops etc, depop looks a bit weird to me - so i prefer vinted

Mumsnet to the rescue as always! Vinted it is then.

I"m obsessed with Vinted. It"s been my Lock down addiction. I've spent too much Confused

I have things listed across all three of them.
I have managed to sell most things on Vinted but that is only because the item is less than £5. They were mostly dd's old clothes that are either new or nearly new.

When Ebay sent an offer to sell 3 for free, I listed 3 of my higher value items (£20+) and two of those have gone.

The things I have listed on Depop are things I have bought in my 20s - Miss Sixty, vintage and while I receive a lot of likes for some items, nothing has been bought there. In fact, they sold on Ebay instead as I had used both to list.

I only managed to flog books on Depop and nothing on Vinted.

I had unworn Levis, Ralph Lauren jumpers and tops, Reiss/Coast/Karen Millen dresses, Superdry clothes, Victorias Secret and Calvin Klein stuff, Armani.

I've ended up going down the route of a lovely dress agency in a nearby city. They do really well, always want stock, only sell good quality and have regular clientele and fantastic approach to marketing.

I wasn't asking for alot either...most new items £10 including postage for items with an RRP of £75 - £225.
