Brogues for wide size 8/42-43

I would love some comfy brogues (job involves alot of walking). I really like these but they were a tiny bit too small in the 8. I ordered them to try as my daughter had them for school and I thought they would be perfect. Any other suggestions please? Thank you very much.

Following for ideas. Looking for the same thing no luck so far. Got an Ecco pair as heard they were comfy - shredded my feet so not those is my only pearl!

I bought a pair of these for work in March 2020 and took them out of the box and wore them to the office for the very first time today! They are so comfortable, I love them.

I should have said I am a size 8/9 with wide feet. These were 8W I think

Oh yes, I had the patent hambletons and I LOVED them.
I have a pair of silver fat face ones that I like too.
I've got hideously wide feet.

M&S wide fit aren't bad

You could also try the mens ones (I would alter the laces for something less dress shoe)

Thank you very much. This gives me hope. I hadn’t thought of M&S or seen those Hambleton. Big feet do feel like a style curse sometimes.

The last for a men's shoe is slightly wider, you might find a men's size 8 works? I'm a 9 so feel your pain, when the 8 is too small there isn't always a bigger option!

What about DM's?

I did debate DMs but remember agonising weeks of breaking them in as a teen. Maybe I could get the hammer out on them this time?

I got some from Simply Be that came in wide and extra wide.

Hobbs ottilie in size 8 - not officially a wide fit, but they fit my wide trotters well.
