Using soap again

Hi, I just want some advice please. I for many many years always used body washes, but didn't always feel clean enough and some left residue. For some reason in the past year I started using soap a few different ones, mainly own brands fragrance free etc. But I have noticed especially with current brand, if it is the cause(not sure what else it would be) I developed red small flat or some raised spots especially all over my top half!! Could this be the soap?! I always use a flannel, so thinking to stop using that soap and return back to something else, but wondering what?! That will give the same effect. The only other thing it could be is detergent etc, I started using another brand of laundry disinfectant and it could also be some of the softeners I've used, but not sure.

Any advice or product ideas of what you use that works well, I will be glad to receive Thankyou!

Dove beauty bar is very good.

If your washing machine works then you don't need laundry disinfectant so try ditching that to see if your skin returns to normal. If you must use it, can you add an extra rinse cycle?
I use perfumed soap every day without problems, but everyone is different.

What is laundry disinfectant? Is it a Covid thing?

You know like Dettol started one and other companies followed suit. I know I only started buying it because of DS toilet training and to sanitise stuff better in the machine, as it was a bit hard when things were soiled, to pre clean all the time. Some said soak items first 🙄 and I have a Bob basic machine unfortunately that I am so upset about as my agent replaced what was there gave me a small one can't even fit double bedding in it 🤦‍♀️

In that case I agree with Wrinkles. Ditch the disinfectant, especially if your washing isn’t rinsing properly. Own brand fragrance free bar soap should be fine, I’ve been impressed with the Nutmeg one from Morrison’s.

It's not that it doesn't rinse properly. The other poster was saying if your washer works then no need. Believe it or not, as it's a 6kg machine, first time I have ever had a machine with no rinse on the cycles list 🤦‍♀️ the next size up has it on there though, how ridiculous!

And whilst I'm on it, does anyone know what the 'classic' cycle is?! As I have that on my machine in the place where, on the next size up it says rinse, instead.
